For those of you who haven’t heard yet, within minutes February 1st will be upon us, the start of National Haiku Writing Month, or NaHaiWriMo. Michael Dylan Welch has put together a little page on Google Sites, as well as a Facebook page where poets will be sharing some (but not all) of their haiku. Some are keeping blogs, others will be posting on Twitter, and I’m sure many more plan on writing in private notebooks. Like with my small stones, I’m going to post my daily ‘ku here on Yay Words! to keep myself in check. If you’re planning on keeping your haiku online somewhere, let me know so I can follow along.
It’s not too late to join in! All it takes is some paper, a pencil, and a willing haijin.
