spring dream…
a fox hesitates
to leave a butterfly
fine spring weather
that butterfly
she’s such a flirt
closely watching
wave whirls and smoke signs; butter-
fly wings on effect
fox hunt–
the painter’s brush
dipped in ochre
fox on the trail–
your hand held up
to my chest
fox ponders
slow to move, quick to arrive,
setting red sky
this roadside fox
stopping
to talk
Red and white, the fox
listens.
