going it alone
he walks into the wild
amdist buses and bodegas
carefully hidden
he waits and shoots
the perfect photo
Tumbling
suddenly. in the path. I catch my breath. unexpected. facing Spring. head on. face to face. we meet in silence. eye to eye. stillness. we ponder. the first movement. and reaction. bounding off. into Spring. I move on. along the path. my mind brimming. full. of that first. Spring. moment.
first encounter
suddenly the path full
of Spring
How simple sweet
a monarch.
Spring’s anointed.
waiting for
the sound of thunder
to awaken me
when right in front of me
is all I’ve been looking for

in my dreams
