did I hear your voice?
there seemed a flame
a music in the air
Floating from the flame,
A chord of the major third
Is symphonic light.

joyous moths —

awakens

cooing pigeons
crackling candlelight-
through the window
a murmur of rain
the song
in my prayer…
candle flame
lullabies and dirges
both sung
in the fading light
each flame lit
before mass silent
requiem
