I’ve heard trains in many places where I’ve lived, including where I grew up… some near and some far. …and rode a quite a few as well…
your mind and thought is beautifully expressed here. a feeling often near the surface when ever I encounter a train. this has to be wabi-sabi I’d say… I’d also say there is something universal in it too.
